Zach is my friend Jarred’s boyfriend — I met Jarred during college — and when Zach was getting ready to graduate with his master’s degree from West Virginia University, we planned a day to document the achievement.
I drove down to West Virginia to spend the day with them, turning the session into a mix of graduation photos and a campus walk-through.

Since I had never been to WVU before, the session doubled as a chance to explore campus while taking photos. Walking through different areas of the university allowed us to capture a variety of backdrops, from classic campus spots to quieter corners that reflected Zach’s experience there.
The session was relaxed and natural, focusing on celebrating the accomplishment without feeling rushed or overly posed.
