Peyton & Lydia | Penn State Graduation Photos
Graduation photos are even more meaningful when they’re shared with the people who helped you get there. Peyton and Lydia’s Penn State graduation session in May 2024 was a celebration of friendship, accomplishment, and a chapter well spent together.
Celebrating Graduation with a Best Friend
Peyton is one of my best friends from my hometown. We went to high school together and were involved in theatre, so we’ve shared years of memories long before college ever entered the picture.
When Peyton reached out about graduation photos, she asked if we could include her friend Lydia as well. They had both graduated from Penn State and wanted photos that reflected not just the milestone, but the friendship they built along the way.
Penn State Graduation Photos in April
Penn State’s campus provided the perfect backdrop for their session — classic, recognizable, and full of energy at the end of the semester. We focused on a mix of individual portraits and photos together, capturing both personal achievement and shared celebration.
Along with posed shots, the session leaned into natural interaction, laughter, and movement — documenting the excitement and relief that comes with reaching the finish line.
Why Group Graduation Sessions Are So Special
Graduation is often experienced alongside friends who study together, support each other, and grow side by side. Group graduation sessions are a great way to honor those relationships while still highlighting each graduate individually.
Peyton and Lydia’s session was a reminder that milestones don’t have to be celebrated alone.
Planning Graduation Photos with Friends?
If you’re graduating and want photos that feel natural, meaningful, and reflective of your experience — whether solo or with friends — I’d love to help document that moment.
