Kayla | Graduation Photos at Seton Hill University & Downtown Greensburg

Graduation is about more than a degree — it’s about the places, people, and experiences that shaped the journey. Kayla’s graduation session in May 2024 captured all of that, from familiar campus spots at Seton Hill University to one of her favorite places in town.

A Graduation Session Years in the Making

Kayla and I met in college and were roommates for three years — two and a half during college and another half year post-grad for me. We shared a lot of life during that time, so being asked to photograph her graduation felt incredibly special.

As she prepared to graduate from Seton Hill University and head to New Orleans for a teaching job, Kayla wanted photos that reflected both where she had been and where she was going next.

Campus Memories at Seton Hill University

We started the session on campus, capturing classic graduation photos in places that held years of memories. From familiar walkways to meaningful spots around Seton Hill, the campus portion of the session focused on celebrating the milestone she worked so hard to reach.

The goal was to keep everything natural and relaxed — honoring the accomplishment without feeling overly formal.

Ending the Session Somewhere Meaningful

To round out the session, we headed into town to photograph Kayla at her favorite local bar. Including a location that represented her life outside of campus made the session feel complete and personal — a true reflection of her college experience.

These photos captured the excitement, nostalgia, and anticipation that come with closing one chapter and stepping into the next.

Celebrating What Comes Next

Kayla’s graduation session was a reminder that grad photos don’t have to be limited to one location or one look. Mixing campus photos with personal spaces tells a fuller story — especially when a big move and new career are on the horizon.
