Emily & Jordynne | An Engagement Session at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art
Emily and Jordynne Atkins-Shepherd’s engagement session was a relaxed, art-filled afternoon celebrating a newly engaged chapter of their story.
I met Emily during college through one of our classes, and when she and Jordynne got engaged, they reached out about documenting this moment with photos that felt natural and meaningful to them.
A Thoughtful Setting for Engagement Photos
For their session, we chose The Westmoreland Museum of American Art in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The museum’s architecture, clean lines, and surrounding outdoor spaces created a beautiful backdrop that felt modern, timeless, and reflective of Emily and Jordynne’s style.
The setting allowed us to move through different spaces while keeping the session relaxed and unforced — perfect for capturing genuine connection.
A Laid-Back Engagement Session
Rather than focusing on stiff posing, the session emphasized natural interaction and movement. We captured moments of laughter, quiet conversation, and the kind of in-between exchanges that make engagement photos feel personal and authentic.
Engagement sessions like this one are less about perfection and more about documenting the excitement and connection that comes with this stage of life.
Celebrating This Chapter Together
Emily and Jordynne’s session was a reminder that engagement photos don’t have to be elaborate to be meaningful. Choosing a place that felt right to them made the experience feel comfortable and true to who they are as a couple.
